Mahesh Mahadev – Short Biography
Mahesh Mahadev, is an International award winning Indian Film Score Composer, Songwriter, Independent Artist, Singer, Lyricist, Multi-Artist and Director. A gifted musician well-versed in Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western Music he has made significant contributions through his numerous original music scores and soundtracks to the music industry across multiple languages in more than 15 Indian and foreign languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sanskrit, Marathi, Gujarati, Braj, Rajasthani, Malayalam, English, Tibetan, Japanese and others. As a lyricist, he has also written several lyrics for independent songs and movies in Sanskrit, Kannada and other languages. Mahesh Mahadev has also showcased his vocal talents as a singer in various languages.
He is also a Indian Classical Music Composer who has composed numerous Varnams, Krithis, Tillanas, Viruttams, Bandishes, Abhangs and Bhajans. He has also composed music in various rare ragas, also used complex rhythm and swara patterns.His exploration of rare ragas and intricate swara patterns, complex rhythm demonstrates his ability to push the boundaries of traditional composition.
As a Raga creator and Vaggeyakara, he has contributed significantly to the world of music inventing over 50 new Indian Classical Ragas in Carnatic and Hindustani Classical music which has become popular amongst music lovers. To name a few, Amrutha Kalyani, Nada Kalyani, Sri Thyagaraja, Bhimsen, Mukthi Pradayani and many others.
Mahesh Mahadev has been awarded with the global honour ISSA 2024 International Music Award from International Singer Songwriters Association, Atlanta, USA for International Best Male Album of the Year. He was honoured with “Bharat Seva Ratna” National Award by Chetana Foundation, Bengaluru, India, for the year 2024. He has also been nominated for “Songwriter of the Year” Pitching Portfolio for prestigious The Josie Music Awards, Nashville, Tennessee, USA 2024.
Mahesh Mahadev is not only a musician but also a Music Educator, Mentor and Vocal Trainer and imparts music education through his music foundation PRISM Foundation as the Managing Director.
As the Managing Director of PRISM Foundation, Mahesh Mahadev is not only a musician but also a dedicated educator and mentor, dedicating his time to share his passion for music with others by providing valuable training and guidance to aspiring musicians.
Apart from being a musician, he is also a businessman who owns Shivashakthi Group of companies which basically focuses on Signs, Advertising, 3D Animation, Motion & Graphic Designing. He is the Founder & Managing Director of PM Audios & Entertainments, Record Label which specialises in music production, distribution and marketing.
